Abstract
The flame spectrophotometric determination of strontium has been applied to the indirect determination of sulfate in low ranges of concentration. This method is suitable for determining the sulfur content of iron sulfoprotein oxidation of sulfur to sulfate is carried out by a modified Schöniger combustion. Quantities of sulfur up to 0.2 mg per individual sample can be estimated accurately.
