Abstract
The MHD flow of optically thick, incompressible, chemically reacting Casson fluid through a moving vertical plate exposed in a non-Darcian porous medium with second-order slip velocity is studied in this work. The plate is under a constant suction velocity. A consistently strong magnetic field is anticipated to be applied normally to the plate. This study includes the effects of Joule heating, viscous dissipation, Soret number and heat source. The MATLAB-bvp4c method is employed for solving the associated governing equations. The flow velocity rises with the growth of porosity parameter, solutal Grashof number, thermal Grashof number and Soret number but it decreases with the inertia parameter, chemical reaction parameter and magnetic parameter. The effect of Soret number raises the skin friction.
