Abstract

The metrological characteristics such as the temperature and relative humidity of the cooled air in solar evaporative coolers in the form of an umbrella or awning are experimentally investigated in the work. Hygroscopic material was used for evaporative cooling. The results are compared with the data obtained from the waterproof material. They allow us to conclude that solar evaporative cooling is promising as an ecologically pure method for cooling air in open areas under canopies.
