Abstract

The metrological assurance and standardization of research into superhard and novel carbon materials has been examined. The most promising directions in the development of nanotechnologies and nanomaterials have been described. The main tasks and functions performed by the Technological Institute for Superhard and Novel Carbon Materials (TISNCM) as the leading organization in the field of constructional nanomaterials and the main problems of the metrological assurance of research at centers for the joint use (CJUs) of scientific equipment have been discussed.
