Abstract
The study "Innovative methodologies in the teaching of architecture" was based on exploring and analyzing three main innovative approaches currently used in the Architecture program at the Universidad Rafael Landívar; among which are the Academic Poster, the Video Podcast and the Architectural Project of Academic Social Responsibility; to analyze their effectiveness and their positive impact on the teaching-learning process. In addition, various educational methods such as Project Based Learning, Laboratories, Models, Field Visits, complemented with Workshops and Conferences, were addressed in order to demonstrate the great variety and achievements in learning by applying these strategies. The results showed that innovative methods are highly effective in fostering critical thinking, creativity and active participation in students. These approaches contributed to a greater understanding of theoretical concepts and better practical application of acquired knowledge.
