Abstract

Italian-L2 Teaching Methods in the Bilingual Zone of Slovenian Istria The present article presents a diachronic overview of the didactic approaches that have been used in teaching foreign and second languages in the world until present day. The objective is to check their use in the glottodidactics of Italian as a second language in the ethnically mixed area of Slovenian Istria. After having compared them with the curriculum, the author evaluates the most widespread approaches in modern pedagogical practice and, based on concrete examples, examines and gives guidelines for their possible application in the first three classes of primary school.
