Abstract

Fertilizer is the main ingredient for plant growth, one of which is organic fertilizer. Organic fertilizers are fertilizers derived from animal parts, livestock waste, dead plants or other organic wastes. Materials for making compost generally use cow dung. This study uses the method of literature study. Literature study aims to support and increase a clear understanding of research objects and ideas so that they can analyze research results properly. Secondary data was collected to determine the scope of information in terms of research that has also developed recently, generalizations based on previous research were carried out to achieve the desired citation. The results of the research show that organic fertilizers are very beneficial for the community and can increase the economic efficiency of the community. The fertilizer processing process becomes more effective with the addition of EM4 as a bioactivator. Organic fertilizers have the advantage of being able to improve the chemical and physical properties of the soil, although they require a larger amount than inorganic fertilizers for the same area. Livestock manure in the form of manure contains nutrients or nutrients which are very beneficial to the soil. The organic fertilizer results obtained are expected to be applied to agricultural land to reduce the use of chemical fertilizers.
