Abstract

The article examines the international legal protection of labor rights of employees. The rules regulation international protection of workers are prescribed in the International Covenants on Human Rights and the conventions of the International Labor Organization. Furthermore, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is the first document, which established right to work, to free choice of employment, to favourable conditions of work and to protection against unemployment. International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights of 1966 are investigated as a rules which provided international legal regulation of labor and interests of employees. The author gives the special attention to research the work of International Labor Organization as a guarantor of the protection of the labor rights. Conventions and Recommendations of International Labor Organization are analyzed in the article.The author concludes that international legal protection of workers' rights is an effective means of solving the problems associated with the violation of labor rights. Moreover, international organizations and their legislation provide realization of the rights of workers and the influence on the national legislation and the judicial system.
