Abstract

A short review is given of structures of universal logic modules (ULMs) used by leading manufacturers of FPGAs and SASICs. A brief description is presented of the proposed approach to optimal selection of the design of ULMs. The results are given of numerical experiments on the selection of the ULM with the optimal number of inputs. The results have been obtained with the help of the software prototype developed to optimize the design of the ULM.
