Abstract
This paper discusses a technique for identifying stress in plants using 4D models to determine stressed areas based on height and growth rates. The developed algorithm segments the field into low, medium, and high stress regions to provide warnings to the grower that an issue might exist. This algorithm was tested on a field of peanut plants and showed that high stressed regions produced 20% lower yield than low stressed regions on average. This metric can provide the grower with an early warning that regions of relatively high stress exists within their field that will have an impact on yield.
