Abstract
In this work, we discuss the effects of possible mistakes which might occur as a result of biased reading and interpretation in teaching while discussing literary works of the period of Serbian Romanticism. As it is well known, the period of Romanticism in the whole Europe was characterized by national awakening, the development of national consciousness, and the formation of nations according to new, modern, civic tendencies. The poetic discourse of writers belonging to Serbian Romanticism did not differ much from this.
