METHODOLOGICAL RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ASSESSING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING THE INTELLECTUAL POTENTIAL OF MACHINE-BUILDING ENTERPRISES

Abstract

The machine-building industry plays a leading role in the Ukrainian industry, and the development of machine-building enterprises depends on a number of intellectual factors that need to be assessed. After all, it is with the help of assessment that the development and effectiveness of the use of intellectual potential are analyzed. The intellectual potential of a machine-building enterprise is mostly intangible in nature, therefore it is difficult to measure it, since it is not reflected in accounting or statistical data. However, determining its value is an extremely important process for the development and implementation of the development strategy of a machine-building enterprise, strengthening the competitiveness of its products. Assessment of the quality of intellectual potential is carried out on the basis of a certain number of criteria for each of the components of the potential. A quantitative assessment of the intellectual potential of an industrial enterprise involves the use of certain units of measurement. They can be specific values suitable for evaluating components, or conditional indicators (scores, coefficients, indices). However, the numerical values do not fully reflect the qualitative characteristics of the components of the intellectual potential of a machine-building enterprise, which can be obtained by analyzing the indicators in dynamics. Today, there are a large number of methods that can be used to assess the intellectual potential of a machine-building enterprise, but at the same time there is no single generally accepted assessment methodology that will allow Ukrainian enterprises not only to occupy a worthy place in the world market, but also to effectively develop and use intellectual potential. Therefore, the issues of assessing the intellectual potential of machine-building enterprises are very acute and require further research. The article created and substantiated its own scientific and methodological recommendations for assessing the effectiveness of the use and development of intellectual potential.
