Abstract
Topicality of the agri-environmental issues is based on the substantial financial resources, allocated for the implementation of agri-environmental measures. However their impact on both theoretical and practical levels in Lithuania is scarce explored. Implementation of agri-environmental measures has an impact on the results of agricultural activity: the implementation of the requirements lead to lower profits. Politicians meet a challenge – to develop and implement effective agri-environmental policy, ensuring the viability of the farms; researchers – to develop theory-based tools for the decision support. The objective of this research is to develop a theory based methodological principles for the model of the economic impact assessment of agri-environmental measures. On the basis of analysis carried out on the recommended methods and their application possibilities for the economic impact assessment of agri-environmental measures, the comprehensive methodological principles for the theoretical model of the economic impact assessment of agri-environmental measures were developed. The model includes a number of levels and the complex of the most appropriate methods. Using proposed methodological principles, the model of the economic impact assessment of agri-environmental measures can be developed. The model could enable to assess the economic impact of agri-environmental policy measures on agricultural sector. After the empirical verification, the model could serve as the theory-based support tool for the decision making.
