Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of methodical approach to teaching the topic "Leukocytosis and leukopenia" at the Department of Pathophysiology. Module 2 "Pathophysiology of organs and systems" begins with the study of the submodule "Pathophysiology of the blood system" for all students studiing specialties 222 "Medicine", 228 "Pediatrics" and 221 "Dentistry". One of the most difficult topics for students to understand is the topic "Leukocytosis and leukopenia". Pathophysiology is a science that studies the vital activity of a sick organism. Pathophysiology occupies one of the leading places in the system of scientific and theoretical training of a doctor. The doctor should interpret the basic concepts of general nosology, interpret the causes, mechanisms of development and manifestations of typical pathological processes and the most common diseases, analyze, draw conclusions regarding the causes and mechanisms of functional, metabolic, structural disorders of organs and body systems in diseases. The study of the mechanisms of leukocytosis is 50% of the topic "Leukocytosis and leukopenia". The other 50 percent of the time is devoted to studying the mechanisms of leukopenia. When considering the mechanisms of neutropenia, special attention should be paid to the pathogenesis of hereditary neutropenia. Because this issue is especially relevant for students majoring in 228 "Pediatrics" and specialty 221 "Dentistry" in the context of the treatment of dental diseases in childhood. The purpose of this work is to analyze the difficulties encountered by students in studying the topic "Leukocytosis and leukopenia" and the development of methodological approaches to their elimination.

The analysis of the factors influencing the students’ performance when doing the Krok tests, we have found the guided language exposure and scheduled amount of time for independent work according to the curriculum can help to overcome typical linguistic obstacles

Вивчення механізмів розвитку лейкоцитозів складає 50% від теми «Лейкоцитози та лейкопенії». У підсумку слід зазначити, що для підвищення якості освіти та полегшення засвоєння студентами теми «Лейкоцитози та лейкопенії» викладачу слід детальніше зупинятись на розгляді патогенезу спадкових нейтропеній, фізіологічних лейкоцитозів та механізмах селективної стимуляції лейкопоезу. Модуль 2 «Патофізіологія органів та систем» розпочинається із вивчення субмодулю «Патофізіологія системи крові» для всіх студентів за спеціальностями 222 «Медицина», 228 «Педіатрія» та 221 «Стоматологія». Певні труднощі виникають також при вивченні питання щодо конкретних механізмів посилення продукції лейкоцитів кістковим мозком при патологічних лейкоцитозах. Викладачу слід звернути увагу на те, що посилення продукції лейкоцитів у червоному кістковому мозку може бути реактивним, пов'язаним з підвищенням вироблення колонієстимулюючих факторів під дією цитокінів (інтерлейкіна-1, фактора некрозу пухлин-α тощо) або неопластичною – моноклональною, характерною для лейкемічних (або сублейкемічних) форм лейкозів
