Abstract

The chapter presents a methodological approach and a model for labour conflict management in the organization based on the life cycle of a conflict: latent stage, beginning, escalation, and completion of conflict processes in the labour sphere of the organization. The goals of conflict management at all stages of its development are substantiated. A process description of the labour conflict management model has been developed which includes the following stages: preparatory, information and analytical, planning, organization, motivation, and control stages. On the basis of the study of the theoretical foundations and empirical data, the main types of possible managerial influences in organizations are grouped according to the life cycle of a labour conflict: managerial influences aimed at preventing a labour conflict; managerial influences aimed at resolving (settling) a labour conflict and managerial influences aimed at normalizing post-conflict interaction. It is shown that the practical use of the presented methodological approach to the management of labour conflicts in the organization makes it possible to develop activities aimed at preventing of conflicts, resolving of contradictions and normalizing post-conflict interaction.
