Abstract

The basics of error-correcting block-cyclic coding are described. The method of the recognition of the parameters of such a code using the exhaustive search without a priori information is considered. The number of necessary calculations is determined. It is shown that application of this method in real conditions is complicated. The known generator polynomials that are most likely to be used were studied. A set of such generator polynomials and appropriate parameters is formed. The method of recognizing the parameters of error-correcting block-cyclic codes in a known set is proposed that allows significant reduction of the amount of necessary calculation.
