Abstract

A method for calculating the load capacity of cycloidal gear reducers with a parallel crank mechanism is described, taking into account the elastic characteristics of the parts and the clearance in engagement. The calculation can also be used for cycloidal gear reducers of other types due to the use of the finite element method (FEM) and modifications of the system of equations used in the FEM. An example of calculating of a reducer with a satellite made of polyamide is given.
