Abstract

Background and Aims: Atherosclerosis associated with vascular damage accompanied by significant changes in a number of biochemical parameters. Cell damage endothelium is largely determined by lipid peroxidation, since cells are in an oxygen-rich environment. Intracellular hemoglobin (Hb) during oxygenation partially converted to methemoglobin (MetHb) - these are the consequences oxidative stress. The aim of the study is to investigate the levels and association of cholesterol and methemoglobin in serum of outpatients.
