Abstract

The article considers the transformation of such a relatively new phenomenon of international life as vaccine diplomacy in the context of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic . Based on the analysis of empirical data collected by working with experts in the fi eld of science diplomacy and international scientifi c and technical cooperation , the authors of the study examined and interpreted some of the qualitative changes in vaccine diplomacy . A content analysis was carried out in order to comprehend the named phenomenon in the interpretation of P. Hotez and in the perception of Russian politicians and diplomats . The results obtained and the generalization of the experience accumulated to date can be of value from the point of view of the further implementation of specialized science and foreign policy initiatives .
