Abstract

In the present study, a molybdenum disulfide MoS2 nanosheets (MoS2 NSs) were synthesized via a lithium intercalation and exfoliation method. The morphology and structure of the as-prepared MoS2 was characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman spectrometer. The MoS2 NSs electrode exhibited higher specific capacitance (148 Fg-1 at 1 mVs-1 or 142 Fg-1 at 1 Ag-1) with excellent cycling stability, compared with bulk MoS2. The result shows that MoS2 is a promising electrode material for electrochemical supercapacitor.
