Abstract

The metal–insulator transition within the Kondo lattice model is studied. We show that the ground state at half-filling depends on the conduction electron dispersion relation; metallic Kondo states can be obtained. We also calculate the temperature of the metal–insulator transition; this temperature can be equal or smaller than the Kondo temperature depending on the model parameters.
