Abstract

K[PtCl3(NH3)] reacts with an equimolar amt. of 3-(2-amino-ethoxy)estrone (an) or -estradiol (ad) to give cis-[PtCl2(NH3)L] (L = an, ad). The reaction of cis-PtCl2(NH3)2 with the amino L leads to cis-[PtCl(NH3)2L]Cl (I). I (L = ad) is active against the hormone sensitive human breast cancer cell line MCF-7 and L 1210 of the mouse.
