Abstract

The mesoscopic structures of organic thin films of hydroxyphenylbenzothiazol-Zn complex which has potential for use as a light emitting material have been investigated with near-field scanning optical microscopy (NSOM). The NSOM images show that film structure is strongly heterogeneous on the mesoscopic scale. This can have significant consequences in the performance of organic devices made with such films.
