Abstract

A review is given of recent theoretical studies of transport properties of semiconductor quantum structures in magnetic fields. The topics covers conductance fluctuations and localization in quantum wires, their crossover from one to two dimensions, effects of boundary roughness scattering on the Hall effect and the magnetoresistance in quantum wires, and the ballistic conduction at quantum point contacts.
