Abstract

Mesoporous ZnCo2O4-ZnO hybrid nanotube arrays are prepared by a diffusion-controlled solid–solid approach and applied as anodes for lithium-ion batteries. Due to the unique hierarchical hollow structure, the ZnCo2O4-ZnO hybrid arrays exhibit a large reversible capacity up to 1145mAhg−1 as well as good rate capability (433mAhg−1 at a current density of 5Ag−1) and good cycle performance, making them promising as anodes for advanced lithium-ion batteries.
