Abstract
The Coleman-Glashow sum rules of the baryon magnetic moments are investigated in the naive NRQM and chiral bag model in the SU(3) flavor symmetric limit so that the bag could be phenomenologically suggested as an effective NRQM in the adjoint representation. Other model-independent relations such as I-spin symmetry and Cheshire-cat properties are also shown to support the effective NRQM conjecture with meson cloud, in the multi-quark structure with U-spin symmetry breaking.
