Abstract
It is pointed out that the coupling constants and form factors of the ''cloudy'' (a chiral) bag model are a special case of the quark pairing mechanism for meson exchanges, where the quark reflections are restricted to the hadronic surface. A bag model formula for the pion decay constant f results from a comparison of g/sub piN/N from both models.
