Abstract
Matérias relativas ao cotidiano e à vida doméstica trazem à tona reflexões sobre gênero, classes sociais, vestuário, moradia e alimento. Grande parte dessas atividades se dá no espaço doméstico, e é neste espaço que, na primeira metade do século XX, a mulher tinha a maior responsabilidade e funções. Observando as páginas da revista feminina brasileira Anuário das Senhoras entre os anos de 1937-1945, procurou-se identificar as balizas do que se entendia no período sobre o adquirir, manter e conservar um corpo feminino saudável, considerando para isso os artigos, as colunas, os textos, acerca do “comer bem”, exercitar-se e repousar para mulheres pertencentes a uma certa camada social – classes médias urbanas, durante o Estado Novo Brasileiro de Vargas.
