Abstract

Learning resources center plays an important role in supporting academic excecution at university. However, the learning resources center context was changed, especially the context regarding to the problems and needs on the implementation of learning resources center. This article discuss the shifting problems and needs on the implementation of learning resources center based on evaluation research findings using Context, Input, Process, and Product (CIPP) evaluation models. The research was conducted in the State University of Jakarta’s learning resources center by non-participatory observation and interview with the stakeholders, questionnaire by stratified random sampling toward 212 students and 100 lecturers, and documents study of the learning resources center since 1986 to 2015. This research was conducted in PSB UNJ for seven months (November 2015 - May 2016). The problems updates and the needs developments that underlie the implementation of the learning resources center demands the development of vision and mission, goals, and new functions to be more responsive to the latest problems and needs.

Abstrak: Pusat Sumber Belajar (PSB) berperan penting dalam mendukung pelaksanaan akademik di perguruan tinggi. Konteks penyelenggaraan PSB telah berubah, khususnya konteks terkait masalah yang melatarbelakangi dan kebutuhan yang mendasari penyelenggaraan PSB. Artikel ini membahas pergeseran masalah dan kebutuhan penyelenggaraan PSB berdasarkan hasil penelitian evaluasi menggunakan model evaluasi Context, Input, Process, dan Product (CIPP). Penelitian dilakukan di PSB Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) dengan observasi nonpartisipatif dan wawancara terhadap stakeholders PSB UNJ, penyebaran kuesioner secara acak berdasarkan lapisan terhadap 212 mahasiswa dan 100 dosen, serta studi dokumen PSB UNJ sejak berdiri pada tahun 1986 hingga tahun 2015. Penelitian ini dilakukan di PSB UNJ selama 7 bulan (November 2015 – Mei 2016). Perbaruan masalah yang melatarbelakangi dan perkembangan kebutuhan yang mendasari penyelenggaraan PSB menuntut untuk dikembangkannya visi dan misi, tujuan, serta fungsi baru supaya lebih responsif terhadap masalah dan kebutuhan terbaru.
