Abstract

As a necessity of the globalization process, the development of society due to advances in information and communication technology is difficult to avoid. Globalization is an open door for the entry of foreign cultural influences, including ideology. At this time, Indonesia is an arena for the struggle for two ideologies, namely liberal democracy and radical Islam. The two ideologies are equally dangerous because they can tear the long-established national knitting together, as well as eliminate the Indonesian identity which is Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Therefore, what needs to be done is to face it with a responsible attitude and eliminate the negative impacts caused or work around it so as to create an advanced society with an Indonesian perspective on the basis of Pancasila. Pancasila as the state ideology must be grounded in the community. One way is to find common ground between the values in Pancasila and the values of the cultural wisdom of ethnic groups in Indonesia.
