Abstract

Polyamide Aerogels In article number 2100645 by Fenglei Zhou and co-workers, thanks to the in-advance introduction of supercritical ethanol drying, the in-use shape stability of melamine-crosslinked polyimide (MPI) aerogels is greatly improved. It shrinks by only 2.64 vol.% after being treated at 280 °C for 72 h. The aerogels also show enhanced compressive strength, low thermal conductivity, excellent thermal stability and char forming ability, promising for high-temperature applications in thermal insulation.
