Abstract
Mekki b. Ebi Tâlib (o. 437/1045) tarafindan kaleme alinan el-Ibâne ‘an me‘âni’l-kirâât, kirâat tarihinin ilk bes asrinda “yedi harf” ve “kirâat ihtilaflari” hususundaki tek mustakil eser olmasi ve kendisinden sonra yapilan calismalari etkilemesi bakimindan onem arz etmektedir. Eserinin mukaddimesinde muellif, kirâatlerin anlam ve keyfiyetlerini acikladigini; bu konudaki inanilmasi gereken hususlari dile getirdigini; kirâatlere iliskin faydali bilgiler verdigini; bazi kapali konulari izah ettigini; kendisinin bir araya getirdigi ve acikladigi meseleleri ihtiva eden bir kitabin benzerinin kendisinden once telif edilmedigini soyler.
