Abstract
ABSTRACT This study focuses on the hybrid (on-site and online) and experimental exhibition ‘The Toys in My Money Box Are in My Playground’ developed by two micro museums that combined seriousness and fun. The exhibition, which aims to bring visitors together with participatory, accessible, and inclusive activities in a way that encourages diversity and sustainability, has a structure that spans three years, aims to highlight the potential of micro museums, and is constantly expanding and updating digitally. This study examines the phases of the experimental exhibition, which began in 2021 and ended in 2024, highlighting the efforts of micro museums to reach out to the public on face-to-face and online platforms through three sub-exhibitions and numerous events. It addresses the internal and external collaborations that took place during this process and analyses that are based on feedback from the working team consisting of volunteers, and visitors to the museums.
