Abstract

The influence of Pauli-blocking medium effects on intermediate-energy one-nucleon removal cross sections for $\mathit{sd}$-shell nuclei have been investigated using density-dependent nucleon-nucleon interaction cross sections within the $S$-matrix formalism under the Glauber approximation. All considered prescriptions for the density dependence result in a reduction of the one-nucleon removal cross sections. The effect is smaller than 20% for incident energies between 50 and 100 MeV/nucleon, and smaller than a few percent above 200 MeV/nucleon.
