Abstract
La Fundación Universidad de América en su programa de Ingeniería Industrial ha permitido a sus estudiantes como requisito de grado, el desarrollar proyectos de factibilidad para la creación de empresas. Desde el año 2004 hasta el año 2014 se realizaron un total de 265 propuestas, las cuales no han sido objeto de ningún tipo de seguimiento. El objetivo de este artículo, es medir el nivel de emprendimiento en el programa de Ingeniería Industrial, por medio de la herramienta de autoevaluación virtual HEInnovate. Asimismo, como valor agregado, se sugiere la creación de un centro de emprendimiento y la inclusión de una cátedra que promueva dicho espíritu en los alumnos.
