Abstract

In this study, the relationship between grit, major satisfaction, and major commitment was investigated, and the influence between variables was more clearly identified by analyzing whether major satisfaction plays a mediating role in the influence of grit on major commitment. Through this, I would like to suggest practical ways to increase students' major commitment. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 26.0 and Process macro. As a result of testing the mediating effect of major satisfaction in the relationship between grit and major commitment, it was confirmed that the mediating effect of major satisfaction was significant. In particular, it was concluded that major commitment was the highest when class satisfaction was high. Therefore, it is necessary to improve students' satisfaction with major classes and increase their major immersion by conducting interesting classes using various materials that can help students understand the contents of classes well.
