Abstract
This article presents educational and cultural actions conducted at Memory Points—community institutions for memory and heritage preservation supported by a homonymous Brazilian cultural policy. It describes community, cultural, and educational actions accomplished at these Points as a result of mediation processes in social practices which include social memories and community survival. YouTube and Instagram publications made by pioneer Memory Points were examined by content analysis. In conclusion, these pioneering Memory Points conduct community, cultural, and educational actions articulated around community memories via cultural mediation actions that go beyond memory and heritage rescue, including community practices related to the daily struggle for survival.
