Abstract

In this study, the usability of recycled glass powder (RGP) as an alkali activator in the geopolymer was studied. As precursors, C-class fly ash (FA) and blast furnace slag (GGBS) were used, and the replacement ratio of RGP was set to 0, 10, 20, and 30% respectively. As the replacement ratio of RGP increased, the compressive and flexural strength tended to increase. But, when the RGP replacement ratio was more than 30%, compressive and flexural strength decreased. In addition, the ratio of FA and GGBS had a significant impact on strength. In the case of specimens composed of a high ratio of FA, it showed high porosity and moisture absorption, and accordingly, compressive and flexural strength were reduced.
