Abstract

The mechanical properties and microstructure of cement-based grouting material (CBGM) are important parameters affecting the quality of geotechnical engineering, which are limited by the properties of added materials. In this paper, the macro-physical properties and microstructure of CBGM mixed with nano- silica (NS) and micron-silica (MS) were studied. Research indicates: The specimens mixed with MS and NS undergo cleavage expansion under force and the ability to resist plastic deformation is enhanced. Internal crack opening of CBGM mixed with MS and NS is reduced, the micro-scale crack is well compacted and the interface transition zone is further improved after the force is applied. The synergistic effect of MS and NS stimulates the growth of gel material.
