Abstract
The weak axis end plate connection of castellated beam H-column is proposed. First, the mechanical performance of end plate joints under static load is verified by finite element simulation and experiment. Then, the finite element variable parameter analysis of the weak axis end plate connection of castellated beam H-column under static load is carried out to study the influence of the change of various factors on the mechanical properties of this kind of joint. Finally, the research results show that under the static load, the plastic rotation capacity of the weak axis end plate connection joint of castellated steel beam H-column can reach 0.03 rad, the plastic hinge appears at the first hole of the beam section, drum bending occurs at the first hole, and the joint area is basically in an elastic state, which can better meet the seismic design concepts of “strong column and weak beam”. It is suggested that the thickness of the end plate of the castellated beam-column weak axis end plate connection joint should be the same as that of the column web, and the opening rate of the beam web should be 50%−60%.
