Abstract

are attached to the fixed end. The strain gages are connected to an ordinary bridge circuit with thermal compensation. For purposes of additional temperature stabilization the measuring bridge and the bracket are located in a massive metal housing 1, filled with silicone oil 4. The oil bath simultaneously serves to damp the natural vibrations of the bracket. The natural frequency of the bracket in the oil was about 70 Hz for wire resistance strain gages and 120 Hz for semiconductor devices. The signal was amplified by means of an amplifier 7 capable of operating in the static-dynamic regime. The amplifier output signal was registered with an N-70O loop oscillograph 8. The frequency response and sensitivity of the measuring apparatus are determined by both the dimensions and material of the bracket and the selected transducer circuit. The natural frequency of the bracket is expressed in terms of its parameters by the relation
