Abstract
A simple combination of a wide-band differential amplifier and a spectrum analyzer is shown to be equivalent to a frequency-swept interferometer, which can yield phase information on wide-band random signals. Measurements of plasma wave dispersion, and correlation times and lengths are presented for ion acoustic turbulence in the positive column.
