Abstract

The present study is an attempt to measure and analyse perception, motivation and satisfaction from the services obtained from various fitness studios across Delhi-NCR. The study analyses the variables and factors for the motivation to exercise, factors influencing the choice of fitness studio and factors affecting the satisfaction from the services provided by fitness studios. Data is collected from a sample of 255 respondents who are users of different fitness studios. Statistical analysis was done using factor analysis with varimax rotation. It is observed that Personal training cost and Locker facility are the factors influencing the choice of a fitness studio. Reputation of the fitness studio and interaction with dietician facilities are the factors which affect the satisfaction of a user. Also staying fit and remaining active are the two major factors that motivate people to exercise. The result indicates that the facilities provided by the fitness studios affect the most. The fitness studio should offer modern facilities, equipment and strive to cultivate strong customer relationship in order to provide best service quality.
