Abstract

In order to improve the reliability of electric power systems, it is important to reduce malfunctions of relays or faults of low-voltage control circuits in substations due to switching and lightning surge. However, it is not sufficient to study the intrusion of surges into low-voltage control circuits. We studied the terminal voltage of the control panel and analyzed the intrusion route of surges in substations. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
