Abstract

The wavelengths of the 2l-nl' (n = 4-15)spectral lines of Ne-like Ni XIXand Ge XXIII were measured inlaser-produced plasmas. The accuracy ofthese measurements (0.5-2.5 mÅ)is a large improvement overprevious results, and a number oftransitions (mainly from levels withn = 8-15) were observed for the first time.The 2p3/2-nd5/2 and2p1/2-nd3/2Rydberg series were used to determine the firsttwo ionization limits of the ground states ofNi XIX and Ge XXIII. Effects ofconfiguration interaction were observed inthe intensities of some spectral lines.
