Abstract
Abstract The L 3l , L 3α , L 3β , L 2β , L 2γ , L 1β , L 1γ , L β , L γ , L 1x , L 2x and L 3x X-ray production cross-sections in Tl, Pb and Bi have been measured at 59.5 keV. The L X-rays are resolved with a new analytical method. The results are compared with the theoretical calculations using the most reliable theoretical values of L i ( i =1,2,3) subshell photoionisation cross-sections, fluorescence yields, X-ray emission rates and Coster–Kronig transition probabilities. The results in the present paper are found to be in good agreement with calculated values.
