Abstract

Abstract Anisotropy coefficients v n are important observables for studying the hot and dense medium created in heavy-ion collisions. This report presents a comprehensive measurement of the coefficients v 2 – v 6 in the broad transverse momentum, pseudorapidity and centrality ranges using Pb–Pb collisions data at s N N = 2.76 TeV from the ATLAS experiment at the LHC. The measurements are done using the event plane and two-particle correlation methods. Both techniques lead to consistent results, showing rising v n at low transverse momenta, then decreasing in the range 3–8 GeV and a weak dependence at the highest transverse momenta. Weak pseudorapidity dependence of v n harmonics was measured for the considered centrality and transverse momentum ranges.
