Abstract

This paper is concerned with the properties of closed-loop time-optimal control of linear systems. Hermes introduced the notion of “stability with respect to measurement” in order to characterize those systems which are insensitive to small measurement errors. In this paper necessary and sufficient conditions for stability with respect to measurement of a generic class of third-order systems are developed.
