Abstract

Maxwell-displacement-current(MDC) measuring technique has been applied to the study of single monolayers of N-Docosylquinolium-TCNQ. The MDC was generated from single monolayers on a water surface by monolayer compression. The MDC was also generated from single monolayers on solid substrates with thermal stimulation. The orientational change of molecules in single monolayers was discussed on the basis of the MDCs obtained.
