Abstract
Various methods of calculating temperature for thermodynamic modelling of economic systems are presented; one method is based on the idea of thermal noise and another on the ideal gas law. A three-phase model is constructed and relevant analogies with social science systems are discussed, including the interpretation of thermodynamic quantities in the social science setting. Finally the idea of entrainment of phase boundaries is presented for a 2-component 3-phase model, together with calculations.
